The Temple of Abomination - text

We hid our dragon ship away, and
went forth to spill Saxon
blood that day.
We came upon some ancient ruins.
They had been there long before the
Druids.

"Chimeras and creatures lair within,
bound by the Lord of the Djinn.
The one who spawned the Original
Sin -- last of the serpent men.
Shapes of red chaos and madness.
wreaking havoc and mankind's
death" --
The last words of the dying priest.
He was tortured in the lair of the beast.

The demons rushed upon us then.
With axe and spear
we welcomed them in.
The shield-wall was formed, we made
our stand -- good Gaellic steel gripped
in my hand.

"Chimeras and creatures lair within,
bound by the Lord of the Djinn.
The one who spawned the Original
Sin -- last of the serpent men.
Shapes of red chaos and madness.
wreaking havoc and mankind's
death" --
The last words of the dying priest.
He was tortured in the lair of the beast.

Our weapons smote them hard --
piled up the dead.
Then the Dark Druid,
serpent man, he turned and fled.
I chased him down
and struck my killing blow.
He fell into the abyss,
where the Shoggoth feasted below.

Visions of my past lives
have come and gone.
100,000 years ago and now are one.
Born yet again to end
the serpent man's race.
I was King Kull in those ancient days.

Chimeras and creatures laired within,
bound by the Lord of the Djinn.
The one who spawned the Original
Sin -- last of the serpent men.
Shapes of red chaos and madness --
Cormac Mac Art
has brought you death
Now away,
to shake off his eldritch chill.
In Saxon blood we'll cleanse our steel.
